When 15 inches of snow shut down New York City and DoorDash suspended operations, food delivery became the conversation. GUDEA captured 2,520 posts across X, Bluesky, and Reddit. The demand signal was massive — and it proved that New Yorkers turn to social platforms first when they need help getting food home.

DoorDash captured 334 of those mentions — largely because of the shutdown itself. Grubhub got 44. But the brand that actually had the best answer to the question every New Yorker was asking — first-pick produce, custom-cut meat, real grocery delivery — wasn’t part of the conversation yet.
